A 10,000-pallet temperature-controlled warehouse is benefiting from a new 450kW solar system, recently completed by Epho Commercial Solar.

Commissioned in March 2018, the solar system is installed on Charter Hall’s facility at Truganina, Victoria, operated by Laverton Cold Storage. Laverton Cold Storage, a family-owned business established in 1975, specialises in large-scale refrigerated storage and cold storage distribution for food manufacturers and importers and exporters.

Epho Commercial Solar provided a full turnkey service including design, engineering, procurement, installation and commissioning. The system consists of 1476 high-efficiency solar panels and eight inverters.

Cold storage sites generally have an electrical consumption profile that greatly benefits from solar generation. Epho has also previously provided turnkey solar solutions for other cold storage sites for clients such as Aldi and DHL.
