Epho’s management team has over 50 years experience combined in photovoltaics. It is this expertise, which gives Epho’s clients the confidence that their expectations will be met.

Oliver Hartley

Oliver Hartley

Managing Director

Oliver Hartley is Epho’s Managing Director and has almost 20 years of experience in solar energy. From 2010 to 2013 Oliver was the managing director of Hanwha Q CELLS Australia, a premium brand of solar panel.

Prior to that, Oliver was the CEO of the thin-film solar company Calyxo in Germany as well as being a board member and chairman of a number of solar manufacturing companies in Europe.

His experience encompasses R & D, strategic business development, sales and marketing and project management. Oliver has worked in the UK, Germany and Australia. He has a PhD, which he carried out at the UNSW Photovoltaic Special Research Centre, Sydney, an MBA from the University of London and is a Graduate of the Australian Institute of Company Directors.

Luke Poliszcuk has worked for over 15 years in strategic corporate management and sustainability, with a strong career focus on business development in the energy sector, particularly commercial solar and energy efficiency.

His consultative approach is key to providing win-win solutions for customers and partners. He has worked with a wide variety of clients from government organisations to Fortune 500 corporations and a range of leading Australian companies. In addition, he provides pro bono consulting and volunteer work for organisations such as the Australian Solar Council and the Australian Energy Storage Council.

Luke holds a Bachelor of Science in Environmental Management from the University of Sydney and an MBA in Sustainable Management from Anaheim University and the Akio Morita School of Business.

Matthias Huchel

Matthias Huchel

Engineering Manager

Matthias studied electrical engineering with a focus on renewable energy. He started his career in the PV industry installing and monitoring PV systems with sizes of up to 100 kWp in Wales and Brazil.

In 2007 he joined Solar Experts based in Berlin, a company specialised in PV consulting and planning of utility scale PV projects. Amongst other responsibilities he successfully planned large scale solar plants with a total capacity of 40 MWp in Spain, Greece and South Korea. He carried out energy forecasts of these PV plants for his clients as well as investors.

In 2008 Matthias joined the Q.CELLS subsidiary Calyxo GmbH where he provided engineering support to customers and helped improve the product portfolio. He moved to Australia in 2010 to become the lead Solar Engineer of Q-Cells Australia before he joined Epho.

David Sproule

David Sproule

Solar Engineer

David Sproule studied electrical engineering at the University of New South Wales, specialising in the design and operation of electrical power systems. As a part of his studies, David completed a thesis project on the ‘Barriers to the Design and Installation of Commercial PV Systems’, during which he developed a detailed knowledge many aspects of the requirements for grid-connected PV systems. In addition to this, David has accrued over four years’ experience in the renewable energy industry, assisting with the installation of numerous residential PV systems on the New South Wales Central Coast.

Having joined Epho as a Solar Engineer in February 2015, David will be working with the Epho team to engineer the best commercial PV systems for Epho’s customer’s needs, ensuring that the unique operational aspects and premises of each customer is understood and taken into account, in order to achieve reliable and accurate financial savings for every customer.

Luke Butterworth

Project and Operations Manager

After becoming a qualified electrical mechanic at the age of 19; Luke embarked on a career in project management, working with Australia’s most respected event management companies.

Luke has been in electrical and audiovisual project management roles for the past 14 years. It is this diversity that has led to Luke’s impeccable time, budget and staff management skills.

In 2010 Luke focused his skills into the renewable energy sector and since then has been responsible for the design and installation of more than 1000 Grid connect and stand-alone solar installations nationally, ranging from 1-106kWp.

He is fully accredited in Grid Connect and Stand Alone design and installation as well as being an electrical contractor in most Australian states.

In 2011 Luke created his own company, CPS Energy, which focused on consulting to renewable energy companies right across Australia. He rapidly earned an enviable reputation as the ‘go to’ person when it came to design and installation that others saw as “Too Difficult”. It is that reputation that led him to joining Epho in 2014 as Project and Operations Manager.

Adam Webb

Adam Webb

Installation Manager

Adam has 7 years of experience as Installations Manager within the solar industry.

His extensive practical experience in project management and understanding of critical timelines has ensured seamless implementation from the design stage to installation and commissioning of thousands of solar projects in Australia.

Building on his previous significant experience managing over 30,000 small-scale solar installations ranging from 1.5 kWp to 10 kWp, Adam has project managed over 3MW of commercial solar installations ranging in size from 30 kWp to 100 kWp in the last 2 years.
